Update

Here's an update about my job interview yesterday, I got it! I'm so happy and so thankful that everything went well. Now I'll just have to wait for them to call me for orientation. It's not really a high pay job but it will be a big help while I'm still reviewing and waiting for my eligibility for the licensure exam. Thanks to those who wishes me luck and most of all Thank you Lord for this blessing.

My Interview

Last Thursday, I had an interview with this part time job I applied online. It's a little nerve -wracking but eventually I was able to calm myself and thank goodness it went smoothly. Im crossing my fingers that I can get this job, they told me that they have to do some sort of background check and if I'm qualified they going to give me a call for the next step. Hopefully everything will go smoothly, if not it's ok. I'll just wait for another luck.

Career in Nursing

According to the Department of Labor (US), careers in nursing are skyrocketing, even with a recession looming. In fact, health care careers, including nursing, are some of the most "recession-proof" careers. With a nursing degree you will have the skills to participate in the fastest growing occupation in the world. Advancement opportunities are strong in nursing, especially with increased education and experience. Nursing degree holders can expect to make, on average, between $48,000 and $80,000 with great benefits, stability and plentiful opportunities for advancement. A good opportunity for me since I completed a degree in Nursing back in the Philippines, I also carries a license from my country. This is not just a great news for me but also for those who are pursuing career in nursing. Now Im working on my licensure exam here in the US, which I really hope that it wont take long time before I'll get my eligibility. Im crossing my fingers, hoping that I'll pass the exam and start my career in Nursing.

Labor Day

Happy Labor Day to all citizens, immigrants and to those with working visa in US. Labor day is a United States federal holiday observed on the first Monday of September, the holiday originated in 1882. On June 24, 1894, Congress made Labor Day a federal holiday. Traditionally most Americans celebrates Labor Day as a symbolic end of summer. The form for the celebration of Labor Day was outlined in the first proposal of the holiday, a street parade to exhibit to the public, followed by a festival for the workers and their families. This became the pattern for Labor Day celebrations. In most countries like Philippines Labor Day is celebrated on May 1st, although events held by labor organizations often feature political themes and appearances by candidates for office, especially in election years.
