Solid gold sculpture of British model Kate Moss

All I can say is WOW to this 50 kilogram (110 pound) solid gold sculpture of British model Kate Moss made by artist Marc Quinn is unveiled at the British Museum, in central London, Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008. The statue named 'Siren', the largest gold statue produced since Ancient Egyptian times according to the museum, was unveiled for the first time in the Nereid Gallery, against the backdrop of classical sculpture from the Museum's collection. Siren is one of five contemporary sculptures by leading contemporary British artists going on display as part of the exhibition 'Statuephilia', paying tribute to the cultural significance of sculpture across the ages.
